(1) Galilean moves to 11-0 for the first time in school history after cruising to a 72-35 win over a young, hard-working Bethel Christian December 14th in a KCAA match up.
The Eagles were led by senior Caleb Lewis and freshman Aaron Brown offensively in the road win as each scored 18 points. Brown notched his second-straight double double and fifth of the season by adding 10 rebounds. Lewis added two assists and two steals to go with four boards.
Senior Lee Van Lew II put together 11 points, three rebounds, three steals and an assist. AJ Lightbourne was a bucket shy of a double double of his own as the sophomore scored eight points while grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds. Junior Caleb Burrows led Galilean with four assists and added seven points.
Eighth grader Will Bennett scored four points and dropped two dimes. Senior Anthony Royalty, junior Preston Adams and sophomore Chase Burton each scored two points. Royalty added five rebounds, Adams grabbed two boards and registered a block, and senior Greg Sizemore pulled down two rebounds.
The victory improves GCA to a school-record 11-0 with just one game left before Christmas break. A very talented Glasgow Christian team comes to town Tuesday night at 6pm.
